On February 25, 2026, this Foundation, in partnership with UCP Editora, organized the presentation and launch of the book A Guerra Justa, authored by Dr. José Miguel Carvalho Cerqueira. The event took place at the Instituto Universitário Militar (IUM), where the author works as an academic researcher, and was attended by several prominent institutional and military figures, including Judge Counselor Irineu Cabral Barreto, Representative of the Republic for the RAM, Dr. Stela da Graça Magalhães, Ambassador of Mozambique, as well as representatives of the Chiefs of Staff of the three branches of the Portuguese Armed Forces.
The ceremony was presided over by Professor Doctor. Francisco Proença Garcia, President of the Military Higher Education Council. The book was presented by Major-General Doctor Luís Fernando Machado Barroso, Chief of Staff of the Joint Command for Military Operations. The event also featured an institutional address by Dr. Anabela Antunes, Director of UCP Editora, underscoring the significance of this publication within the academic world.
This initiative provided a platform for reflection and discussion on the themes addressed in the work, bringing together distinguished figures from the academic, diplomatic, and military relms.
