On October 8, 2024, the Amphitheater of the Military Strategic Studies Center at the War College in Luanda hosted the re-edition ceremony of the book *Elements of Strategy*, authored by Lieutenant General Abel Cabral Couto. The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of State and Chief of the Military House of the Presidency of the Republic of Angola, General Francisco Pereira Furtado. The event also included the participation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, General Altino Carlos José dos Santos, along with various diplomatic, military, and civil authorities.
This event, part of the celebrations marking the 33rd anniversary of the Angolan Armed Forces, also featured contributions from the Coordinator of Cooperation in the Field of Defense, in a partnership between the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, the Casa Carvalho Cerqueira Foundation, and the Institute of Political Studies at the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP).
This initiative is part of the framework of Defense Cooperation between Angola and Portugal.
The participation of the Casa Carvalho Cerqueira Foundation highlights its commitment to promoting scientific research and higher education in the military field, not only in Portugal but also in Angola. This collaborative effort contributes to strengthening bilateral relations and fostering a solid and lasting military cooperation between the two countries.
The re-edition of *Elements of Strategy* thus consolidates the intellectual legacy of Lieutenant General Abel Cabral Couto while promoting a future of strategic cooperation between Angola and Portugal.
